Overall situational picture of security of supply 17 June 2025: No disruptions to security of supply in sight

The overall situation of security of supply is stable, and no significant changes are expected. If the situation remains unchanged, the general situation overview will be published every other month towards the end of the year.

There have been no significant changes in the general situation overview of security of supply compared to a month ago. From the perspective of supply security, the situation is stable and is expected to remain similar in the coming months. Challenges still arise from delivery disruptions, and tensions in the Middle East create uncertainty.

The conflict between Israel and Iran, if it deepens, could affect global oil prices, which in turn could have cross-sectoral impacts.

Uncertainty is also caused by the threat of an escalating trade war and its effects on global markets.

In primary production, spring fieldwork has been practically completed. At this stage, crop expectations for winter cereals are normal and in many areas even slightly better than usual.

Towards the end of the year, the general situation overview will be published every other month in August, October, and December, unless developments in the operating environment require more frequent reporting.

The overall situational picture of security of supply compiled by the National Emergency Supply Agency (NESA) examines the challenges in the operating environment from several perspectives. The situational picture report includes an overview of different industries’ ability to function and the challenges they may face.

The NESA produces a general situation overview, the publication frequency of which can be adjusted as needed.  A brief summary of the overview will be published. Details concerning industries are classified and are therefore not made public.
